Back during World War II, our Church use to have a Singspiration after the Evening Service; a time of testimonies, and Gospel hymns and choruses. One chorus that has stuck with me over the years is the chorus written by Norman Clayton in the late '30's, "Only to Be What He Wants Me to Be", and the words have been an impact on my life. Many times during my life there have been times of backsliding, but as I near the time when I know that My Lord will either come back for me, or I will meet Him through death's door, these words have become a real challenge for me to live a life that is pleasing to Him that I will hear His "Well Done".I regularly give Him praise and thanksgiving for all that He has done for me, not that I am worthy of it, but because His love has overwhelmed me. The fellowship I have with Him all through the day, and yes, even into the night when sleep fails me, has proven to be sweet and precious.
